With being located in a high arid desert, the summers do reach average highs into the 90s, and upwards of 100 or higher for some stretches during the peak of summer. The winters are also mild, compared to other parts of the Pacific Northwest. Average lows during winter hover around 37 degrees, but record lows have hit as low as -6 degrees. Snowfall during winters average around five inches of precipitation each month, but does vary each year. Meridian’s mild seasons offer residents beautiful changes in the trees and scenery year-round that other places in the West don’t have the privilege of enjoying. Each season opens the door to different recreational activities for the whole family.
